Budget Friendly Little Girls Bathroom Makeover
We are so excited about how this bathroom makeover came out! Check out all of the before and after pics!!
Although this bathroom could have in theory used a total gut (rip out flooring, new shower, and cabinet) all of those things are still in very good condition so I decided to make this bathroom over with both budget and eco-friendliness in mind (if you know me, you know I HATE being wasteful). On par with every room in our home, there is also a mix of both new and vintage elements.
What I did:
I painted the walls, vanity cabinet and trim. replaced the vanity hardware, installed a new sink/counter top, installed a new faucet, and added new decorative items such as a shower curtain (the shower has a glass door, but it isn’t that pretty so the curtain makes it much more aesthetically pleasing), a hand towel hook, mirror, and waste basket.
I did NOT replace the cabinet, flooring, or shower (the toilet was new when we moved in).
I decided on this color/design because I wanted it to compliment my daughters’ bedroom decor/wallpaper (this bathroom is in their bedroom). I don’t have an updated post on her current bedroom, but HERE is a post I did on her bedroom in our old house, and I put up the same wallpaper when we moved to this house, yes, I love it that much! My daughter Kensington’s only request was that I paint it pink, and I saw the bow mirror online and LOVED it. I did try to find a similar less expensive option, but there is nothing else like it and I just think it is absolutely perfect for a little girls bathroom. I am actually just posting this now because the mirror was on back order for months!!

BEFORE:
Note: I highly recommend Sherwin Williams Primer, we are making our way through all of the dark wood and colors in this house and it has done a phenomenal job with expediting the coverage process!
Our house was built in the 1970’s and needless to say they LOVED blue bathrooms! The previous owners did a bit of renovating, but there’s still a lot of blue!
AFTER:
Note: If you do a bathroom with gold, watch your gold tones. it is easy to mix up the gold tones and in my opinion it just doesn’t come out looking right. The faucet, garbage pail, mirror and hook all are VERY close in terms of their gold tone/color. Just a tip!!

If I add up the approximate total cost for everything new that I purchased the total is around 600 dollars. For a bathroom renovation I’d say this bathroom gives a lot of bang for the buck!
