What I am Obsessed with at Target RIGHT NOW
I recently took a trip to one of one of my places of zen, Target (Tar-jay if you will). It was a special trip, a trip sans kiddos, and I didn't feel guilty because all three of my nuggets were napping and so was my husband!
So for the record, I was there to buy the following items: Pantene Pro-V conditioner (see my Momsentials post, and learn why it's been my fave since forever), Kaboom shower cleaning foam spray, fabric cleaning spray (the twins like to paint my couch with milk), and Febreze (my bulldog, although I love him, stinks and I am NOT nose blind).
But in true mom in Target fashion I went through the whole store. This was on October 26th, 2016 so they do still have out a lot of fall decor, but the holiday stuff is starting to make it's way onto the shelves! I don't know why, but this year I am super excited and don't even care that as I type this it is snowing here in CT!!
So here is a short list (could have been a lot longer) of my top picks from Target this week!
Unfortunately I don't really have a place in my home for this garland, but still stood there desperately trying to think of something! It would actually look cool in my husband's man cave, but my decorative input is strictly forbidden when it comes to that room. The garland is kind of on the masculine side, and almost gives off an equestrian kind of vibe. If anyone has an equestrian style bedroom, dining room, whatever room it would be super cool even draped over a painting, mirror or over curtains. LOVE this garland.
I am huge fan of moss (if you check out any pics of my house I have a thing for moss balls). The moss is inlayed in a galvanized looking metal (think Fixer Upper/Magnolia for all you super fans out there). I think these would look beautiful in a bright foyer on a table, or a sunroom, even if you did a fun country Christmas style mantle.
I have a total thing for vase fillers especially during the holidays. I look forward to the Pottery Barn catalog coming in because they always do great things with vase fillers. I do, however, like to not spend a ton of money on vase fillers. These birch and cranberry options are gorgeous, very Pottery Barn-esque and the price is excellent.
I have been on the hunt for some good black booties, was actually also in Nordstrom yesterday (check my Insta for the most AMAZING green moto jacket), but needless to say, did not see any little black booties that I loved. These guys won my heart. They were also on sale AND there was a Target Cartwheel discount on top of the sale, it was meant to be!
This bag is too big for my needs right now but when I saw it I was quite impressed. It looks expensive, the colors are great, and it's very chic. If you are a girl into bigger bags this one is a winner.
Leopard, cheetah? I don't know some animal print sweater that looked awesome in the ad picture. I feel like this would be adorable around the holidays paired with a plaid skirt and a fun pair of studs. For now, I could totally see myself wearing it with jeans and my over the knee tan suede boots.
Candles and cosmetic bag.
Because it's not too early to start your holiday shopping people! I thought these glass gold-dipped candles were super chic and would make a really pretty gift or hostess gift paired with a bottle of wine. The navy and gold cosmetic bags have tassels on the zipper and for only 8 dollars?!!?! Come on! Would be perfect for secretaries, co-workers, teachers, girlfriends. Throw in a couple chapsticks or a fun nail polish and bingo, you're done!
So that concludes yet another "I only need 4 things, but come home with 10" trip to Target.
